Anyone living in Groot-Leuven (Leuven, Kessel-Lo, Heverlee, Wilsele and Wijgmaal) can register.

  1. Bring your ID card (for underage persons bring the KIDS-ID or a sticker from the health insurance).

  2. Take it to the reception. You’ll get the functioning of De Ridderbuurt explained.

  3. Sign a contract and agree to come to the medical center De Ridderbuurt for all medical care from doctor, nurse and physiotherapist.

  2. If you feel too sick to come to De Ridderbuurt, call this number before 10 a.m. to ask for a house call.

    De Ridderbuurt closed? You can get a doctor on call at 1733 or a nurse at 0800 99 037.

What is a community health centre?

A community health centre is a centre where care is provided to people from the local community. Our medical center takes care of people who live in Leuven. To use our services, you must be registered.

Our centre provides multidisciplinary care. Our team consists of general practitioners, nurses, physiotherapists, a dietician, social workers, a nurse practitioner for mental health care, health promoters and a support team.
